About
Hello — I’m Kiefer Howland, an industrial designer exploring how thoughtful products can shape the way we work, play and live. Currently based in Lexington‑Fayette, Kentucky, I am completing my industrial design studies while collaborating with engineers, researchers and fellow designers on projects ranging from modular furniture to electronics.
I’m driven by curiosity and a hands‑on process that spans research, sketching, digital modelling and full‑scale prototyping. Whether it’s fabricating a fleet of pin‑up panels for a design studio or developing a handheld weather tool, my goal is to create objects that are as delightful as they are purposeful.
Beyond the projects showcased here, I’ve also explored active noise‑cancelling appliances, speculative fintech products, RC boat competitions and professional collaborations with safety equipment manufacturers. These experiences have strengthened my skills in manufacturing methods, user research, ergonomics and electronics.
