Overview
This project reimagines a personal protective respirator (PAPR) for industrial workers, in collaboration with Bullard. The aim was to improve comfort, usability and modularity while maintaining industry‑leading protection.
Key Contributions
- Conducted user interviews and on‑site observations to identify pain points.
- Explored ergonomic harness designs and intuitive control placement.
- Developed modular filter housing concepts for easier maintenance.
Outcome
The resulting concept enhances worker safety by combining improved ergonomics with a more intuitive user interface. It informs future development of personal protective equipment.
