Overview
PUP is a modular, portable partition system designed to transform open studios into flexible pin‑up spaces. It provides movable wall panels that support collaboration, critique and display across design classrooms.
Key Contributions
- Performed user research and surveys to determine ideal sizes and functions for pin‑up panels.
- Developed and tested full‑scale prototypes, refining an A‑frame structure with integrated storage and adjustable surfaces.
- Managed fabrication of a small production run using CNC milling and assembly techniques to produce durable, modular units.
Outcome
Fifteen PUP units were fabricated and deployed in the College of Design’s Gray Building. They provide flexible work surfaces for brainstorming, critiques and presentations, informing plans for wider production.
